I had an operation in Charing Cross this week and was discharged early. Rather than hang around to be be picked up, I thought it would be a good idea to take one of of gold standard black cabs. I hailed one, he stopped and could clearly see I was struggling with my small suitcase, he did not budge. As soon as I got the case in, he lurched forward before I had even had a chance to sit down, causing me to fall back on the seat. He then mumbled away on his mobile for the whole, admittingly short, journey. I will sign up to Uber straight away. |
