So people get more depressed in summer because they wake up at 5 a.m. when it gets light?  I don't think so.

"We are advised not to sleep with computers and phones next to us unless switched off."

The screens should go blank anyway if the device isn't in use. Powering off may be advisable, but not because of the screen image interfering with sleep.
