Will, my Lancashire Lad, I have read the average age of a first time buyer in London is 40 something. I bought my first house in my early 20's as did a lot of my generation. London prices have sky rocketed and do you know what, most people think this is a good thing! I am an Estate Agent so it's all my fault of course but believe me I would be quite happy to see the prices fall to bring back a slither of hope for hard working young people. Now do you see the problem? BTW, concentrated households have been with us for some time now (if you mean children living with their parents) which has untold knock on consequence to the social fabric. |
