I really can't understand how Ed Balls can ever have been described as a "brilliant economist". He may have degrees in the subject but throughout his political career he has demonstrated a failure to understand the economy, economics or how the economy works. He close association with the disasterous Gordon Brown should have disqualified him from any further involvement in 2010. And it has been painfully obvious recently that that he was being constantly overruled by Ed Miliband whose real knowledge of economics was about as good as his ability to eat a bacon sandwich. Good riddance. |
