Andy - you just have not got it have you?

The Conservative Liberal Coalition was just that - two parties who came together and hammered out a programme that both could ascribe to for a fixed period. On the whole this worked remarkably well.

In the dire situation that Britain found itself in in 2010 this was the grown-up and right thing to do. What did the childish not that Liam Byrne say - perhaps you would like to remind me?

Ultimately looking back over five years my Party has not achieved everything that it wanted but the Country has benefited from relative political stability and the working through of a sound long term economic plan whose success is there for all to see.

Neither the SNP nor the Labour Party either publically or it would seem privately want to join a coalition government where power is shared. They might negotiate a voting pact which is something different. The SNP is not seeking places around the Westminster Cabinet Table and Labour are not offering that. A Lab/SNP voting pact would be inherently unstable and unpredictable - most commentators would give it a year at most before it collapsed in an undignified mess.
