I think what she was trying to say is that many live in mansions but they don't earn much. i.e. bought years ago, inherited etc. Hence they won't get hit with any tax if they can't afford it so she has calculated that not many will pay it immediately. Their estates will have to pay it when they die!! So a bit less for your kids to inherit. |
