When Labour nominated Ruth Cadbury, I thought they had perhaps learned their lesson after Ann Keen-Expenses - putting up a local councillor without the baggage that had left her predecessor open to attack. Opinion from those in the know seemed to suggest she was from the more sensible wing of the Labour Party.
However, it seems that not only does she carry the baggage of having been a member of the Hounslow Labour Party, with its long list of failings, but also is not very good at mastering her brief and is prone to make foolish remarks - notably by blaming the national government for failings in areas which are the responsibility of the local government body of which she has been a part.
You just can't trust Labour. |
