" At the age of 18 he served in occupied Germany working for the War Crimes Investigation Unit of the British Army of the Rhine for 18 months. Janner investigated cases of British airmen who were shot at Stalag Luft III, the prisoner of war camp.[4] At weekends, he worked with Holocaust survivors at Bergen-Belsen. The army unit was closed in 1948 to Janner's dismay.[5]" Reading that ,he must have been an honourable man, what can you say. Maybe dealing with all that sent him a bit without putting too finer point well lets say mentally compromised ?Sadly that is not the issue is it. |
