what time do people find the birds are starting up with the dawn chorus these days? I'm sure it's meant to be shortly before dawn, but I find recently it is much, much earlier ...like about 3am or earlier I'm wondering whether it's because there are so many bright spotlights dotted around the estate where I live, installed for security reasons I suppose, that it never gets really dark outside, and the poor birds don't know whether its day or night. I mean, these lights are so bright that I can easily get up to go to the bathroom without switching any lights on, though admittedly my curtains aren't that dark. Any views? |
