I am looking to buy asap a new washing machine. I was considering a Bosch 8kg model from John Lewis but its not reviewed in Which and the JL customer reviews put me off. It seems to be to do with unbalanced loads and never spinning correctly – not encouraging. I have asked and JL say its user error. Spin rating B, 1400. Is this likely to be a problem with 8kg models as most smaller households struggle to fill them enough? Has anyone had this issue. Problem is the next model down (Bosch 7kg) has been reviewed in Which and gets a mediocre write up with a rating of 55% - they say look for an alternative. Spin rating B for this model, 1400. I did consider a Beko but came to my senses in time as I assumed that it would probably end in tears in the long run – that got model 56% in Which (Spin rating A, 1600 spin) – but they don’t test these machines after running for years on end. I want something that’s going to last. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.
