| You are probably better off not being associated with the Met's communication systems.The problem was anybody that was in a position to make important decisions on communications knew nothing about them.Transistion from Met radio to Airwaves was a prime example.The idiot in charge of the transistion ordered all the necessary equipment to install it Met wide.What he forgot however was the little bit of kit that would enable Airwaves to speak to Met radio.It turned out that this little box would take 18 months to build, and cost £2million.That's why it took so long to get Airwaves operational.It was a total mare. |
