They also need to be the right breed and have time to acclimatise, to grow their second coat. You can't just stick out a German Shepherd on random nights, if it doesn't have a second coat. Not all dogs grow second coats. For instance Some Labradors breeds do, some don't, apparently. But I don't think their is a law regulating this, just a RSPCA guideline of 10C or above. But there is a law about dogs and noise. The whining obviously annoyed the owners, as at midnight they moved the car outside their home to less than 50m away. Although it didn't whine all night this time, it stopped around 2am. I'm less concerned about the noise, than I am about why - whining would indicate this is not normal for the dog, that it's not use to living outside. And thus doesn't likely have its second coat. |
