I vaguely remember from working in a pub that children (under 16) weren't allowed x amount of feet near the bar or insight of the bar, this is the actual bar. However it does depend on the license the pub has difference licenses have different rules, also depends on whether the pub is child friendly or child tolenrent there is a massive difference. However most local pubs are happy to have well behaved children in pubs.
