| Just for the record, I don't think all officers should be armed.Many officers would not be able to handle being armed emotionally.It's no good giving a gun to someone that could not draw their weapon, take aim at the chest area and squeeze the trigger knowing full well that the 9mm bullet will almost certainly end your targets' life.Many officers would not be able to do that.And an officer with a gun that cannot use it is a danger to themselves and everyone around them.All officers are human with human emotions.It's just the uniform that makes them different from us.A large amount of officers that apply to become firearms officers do not make the grade.And these are people that thought they would be able to do the job. |
