| I'm not a football expert and confess only to having a soft spot for one team and occasionally watching England play, but the latest whitewash by FIFA seems to me to be taking the mickey big time. There are rumblings this morning of a boycott of the World Cup, the German FA and the Dutch are not happy bunnies, so will the English and home country FAs join with them and encourage other European countries to support a boycott and try and get EUFA's backing? Some sports bod on the TV this morning reckoned that the only way England won't be in Russia is if they don't qualify, what a sad reflection on the people at the top of the game. Isn't it high time principles were put above financial considerations? FIFA's obfuscation and outright corruption surely has to be tackled, and quickly. |
