| The best thing for this dog would be to find a good rescue organisation in Spain that would take her in and assess her prior to rehoming her. Some Spanish rescues connect with rescues here so that dogs having a better chance of finding a home in the UK can be sent over for further assessment and to go to a homechecked adopter. If an adoption then breaks down for any reason the dog can be returned to the UK rescue and another adopter found. Someone wanting to rehome their own dog may well tell you all the good things about the dog without admitting to other issues and a lot of direct private adoptions break down when the new owners find out the dog's true nature and problems. The original owners will not usually take them back so the adopters then have to try to find a rescue organisation willing to take on the dog and rehome it. |
