The police have much to answer for themselves in cases such as the scandalous lack of action in Rochdale and the many reports they received about the loathsome Savile's behaviour, and for many decades, the church's response was to say nothing and simply move the offender to another parish. The great and the good, of course, have always covered up each other's crimes, whether it be fraud, expenses fiddling or paedophilia, and they seem to be continuing to do so at this very moment. By now, it should be a criminal offence not to pass on reports of sexual assaults on children to the police immediately. |
