Just called SSE on behalf of my daughter who received a letter about a change of meter.  She said that she didn't think it looked right and I agreed, hard to say exactly why. It gives phone numbers to ring etc.  I have just confirmed with SSE that they are not aware of any meter change due until 2018 but they were not interested in following up on the letter and only when I pushed them did they ask me to scan a copy to them.  Not sure what to do but I don't think sending it to someone who was clearly not bothered seems the right thing to do.  Not sure what the scam is, possibly gaining access to properties.  Should I contact the police and if so what is the best way?
