Everyone talks about the dearth of housing. The problem is not at the high end which is what all the new housing is aiming for. What is badly needed is affordable housing And lots of it and no developer wants to forego big profits for such profits. Very few Councils want to get involved either and it is left to the charities to fulfil this role. That is where the problem lies. |
