I very much doubt that what Julian observed had anything to do with the rogue aircraft on Wednesday. The RAF have been intercepting suspicious aircraft, mostly Russian Bears but occasionally errant civil airliners, for more than 50 years without needing the help of the Americans. And the Yanks have been using the sky above West Wales as a training area for about the same length of time.
