The Chiswick section of the Great West Road, as the A4 was then known, was completed in 1925. I still think the building could be the Gatehouse viewed from the South side. The East wing appears to have gone and been replaced by a modern construction. The lime trees on the west side of the main drive to Chiswick House would have been to the right of the photo. A wild surmise, but a possibility. |
