So sorry to hear that you have been burgled. How did they get in? The most important thing is to double lock all exterior doors and remove the keys to a place out of sight. Car keys are known to be kept within 2 metres of the front door so make sure yours are put in a safe place well away from any cupboards or drawers in the vicinity of the front door. If you have an alarm, make sure you can set it for downstairs only. Get door contacts on the doors if you have animals and do close them at night. This way you could wake up in a hurry but the burglar will have made off because of the alarm and you would still have your car. |
