I am not a specialist but my brother had an implant fitted in the two stage process after he had a tooth knocked out after an accident. The bone was compromised and his dentist recommended the two stage process in this instance and I believe some bone grafting. My understanding is that if the bone density is good enough then single stage implants are as good as two stage implants. So I imagine in a younger person where the bone is not compromised in anyway the single stage process would be ok. |
