| "It is just beyond me the way some people blame drivers for every problem on our roads." Errrm, drivers ARE to blame for: Almost all transport related air pollution at ground level - causing 28,000 premature deaths a year in the UK. All motorist deaths, plus over 50% of pedestrian and cyclist deaths. Some 1300 a year. 100% of traffic congestion. Getting more people cycling is a solution to these problems, and an idiot on a bike is far preferable to an idiot in a car. |
