The BBC genome project has TV and radio listings back to 1923 (well a bit later than that for TV). Im guessing there aren't many forumers born before then? For me, born on a Saturday, the day started at noon with an introduction to molecular biology followed by speak Italian. After the public service announcements was an afternoon of Grandstand. Early evening entertainment consisted of Dr Who, Juke Box Jury (including Jane Asher and Brian Epstein on the panel) and Z Cars. At 7pm there was Bertram Mills Circus followed by Laughter from the Whitehall presented by Brian Rix. The world figure skating championships, a film and highlights of Man Utd V Sunderland in the F.A cup 6th round completed the night. Closedown was just after midnight. My Doris doesn't believe me but I think I prefer this schedule to the current Saturday offerings. http://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk |
