| The reason Benazir became a target was she'd openly spoken out against the army and it's rule. She spoke of ending terrorist havens in the country. And lastly but most importantly she wanted a constructive relationship with India. The first didn't go down well with the army, the second didn't go down well with the army or hardliners and the last didn't go down well with anybody. Her fate was sealed really. Her husband is the most corrupt politician in that country if you believe their local news. Of course I only know what someone can know from a distance but it's quite compelling. |
