Just for info. Many animals carry (and pass on) Leptospirosis aka Weils disease including horses, cows, sheep and dogs. Strangely, not cats. It is as I believe someone has mentioned, passed via urine from the infected animal. The bacteria can remain active for sometimes months in soil and water where a host has urinated. |
