| "This appears to be a structure due for replacement." Not according to TfL. Although some repairs were done to the steelwork, they said that the structure was basically sound. Latest from the TfL website: What's next Now the highway elements of the works are complete, we will begin to upgrade the pedestrian subways near the Hogarth Roundabout, as well as replant trees and flowers around the roundabout to improve the look of the area. Some night time lane closures on the northbound approach to the A316 Hogarth roundabout will take place for up to five nights in late September. This is to allow scaffolding and materials to be removed safely. The lane closures will be in place from 22:00, but at least one lane will remain open at all times. Subway improvement works will take place until the end of October to repair the tiles, fix the handrails and resurface the footway. The subway will remain open, however the footway will be narrowed to allow this work to take place between 07:30 and 16:00. For three nights from 20 October, we will carry out resurfacing work to the footway and will need to close one ramp each night from 19:00 until 07:00. Alternate pedestrian routes will allow pedestrians to cross the A316. |
