Thanks for the background info Anne - I had no idea about these boats - assumed they were like the houseboats moored up in Chelsea and all legal - seems these are not. Recently I've only glimpsed the top decks with flowers and plants from the road, not having walked along the tow path for several years now and I do remember some of the boats did look scruffy. I am all for improving the river frontage. |
