Sadly your description of modern milk fits a great deal of the food produced these days.
Farmers around us keep their own vegetable plots which are chemical-free because they refuse to eat what they grow commercially.
Animals are still pumped through with antibiotics as a 'precaution' and what goes into commercial feed beggars belief.
What is the answer though? We have gone too far now to turn the clock back. Only the lucky ones can grow their own, choose the most natural of products, keep their own poultry etc.. and then there are those who actually want their apples etc. all of a uniform size and without a natural blemish on the skin.
Nope - we have sadly gone too far to turn back.
