| I don't think there are any Fred - most of us never experience total darkness. John Bortle has a scale of darkness going from 9 to the brightest to 1 at the darkest. You have to get out to really out of the way places to get any where near the lower end. Even that is not total as there is of course star light. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bortle_scale |
