Not had your problem but I had a look at the Ealing Council website: "Renew online This is the easiest and quickest way to renew. From 4 February 2013, customers who renew their permit online will be able to park in their zone from 9am the next day without the need to display a paper permit. Their permission to park will be ‘live’ on the council’s database from this time and their paper permit will be posted to them within five working days." When I renewed mine in June, I received the permit within 5 working days. The 'without need to display a paper permit' is new to me and seems contradictory to their letters but may be there is some leeway now. It might be worth double-checking that the payment has been taken from your account and that there hasn't been a hiccup there? It's frustrating that you don't get any email confirmation of the transaction when you renew online. As to emailing the parking department, my experience has been that they respond reasonably promptly. |
