Clearly good news, but a temporary reprieve only. Regardless of how long the lease runs, or who holds the lease, the threat to the site as a working pub remains unless suitable safeguards are put in place, such as the proposed extension to the Conservation Area advocated by the CAG and the like. I think it would be helpful if Councillor Todd and other local Councillors could promote clearer dialogue and action in that regard. |
