Hi,

Almost two months after I first noticed my bumblebee visitors they are gone.  Thanks everyone for helping me to identify them and to decide not to remove the nest.  Hopefully, they Queen Bee has flown off to find a new nesting place and that her swarm followed.  I do have a slight concern that some took a wrong turn along the way though.  Having just returned from a couple weeks away there were dozens of dead bumblebees inside my kitchen by the large window at the back.  I don't know if bumblebees have feelings but I'm sure there was chaos as they all bounced off the inside of the window wondering what went wrong.

However, it appears the whole episode has left no damage to my property and there were no bee stings.  They were pleasant to watch coming and going flying high and fast off to collect their nectar seemingly in the direction of Acton!

Joe
