Travel is free for children under 11 travelling on the underground and the buses with adults who have an Oyster card, so as long as your friends are using an Oyster they do not need any further passes or travel cards for the 5 year old. Children do have to pay on mainline trains though so if they wanted to go Waterloo and back to Richmond, say, on the mainline they would need a ticket. |
