| A friend of mine (who is a distinguished former RAF officer and very experienced commercial helicopter pilot and international aviation safety expert) has written the following letter to his MP urging him to do his best to remove Gordon Brown from office as soon as possible: QUOTE • He spent our money forgetting that it was not his but ours. It was used, and still is to promote his political aims and social engineering programmes instead of for its proper purpose (a bit like the old Soviet Russia) • He has severely damaged the British economy and continues to do so. As Chancellor of the Exchequer, he was incompetent. This means that he had no qualifications, skills or experience in such a job. In the real world, he would not have been considered. • Gordon Brown and his Labour Party colleagues have massaged figures, changed economic cycles, redefined basic terms such as public borrowing, announced and re-announced spending in order to convince the public they were spending more than they were on worthwhile projects and concealed taxes • He seems to be an enemy of democracy, freedom and trust. A lover of state control, means testing and political targets, a man prepared to see countless thousands die rather than risk losing his own chauffeur driven car. The military chiefs say that he refused to meet them to discuss funds for proper equipment for their people • He lurches from crisis to crisis. He throws our money at the crisis and moves onto the next. For example, the flooding in Cumbria. Instead of enquiring why the river burst its banks and what should be done to prevent recurrence, he promised £1m of aid and moved on. • As the possessor of 4 tax payers funded houses, my original point, he will not have to endure the hardship of having to sell ones only home, paid for out of taxed income, to pay for care in a home when they are unwell and old. A recently unearthed scandal. • Brown supported the illegal attack of Iraq and Afghanistan. He must therefore share responsibility for the deaths of thousands of innocent men, women and children. David Blunkett’s diary reveals that Brown realised that Blair would fire him if he did not vote for the war, thus putting his chauffeur driven car above the lives of British soldiers and his own ambition and sense of survival above whatever shreds of integrity he might have had when he entered politics. He writes letters of condolence to the relatives of the soldiers and others who have been killed in Afghanistan. Does he not realise that they die because he refuses the price of providing propter vehicles to protect the military? Kaman Aerospace produces a helicopter and system that can detect and detonate bombs from the air. We should be using them and other similar equipment instead of our military walking over them and dying. • There are now few NHS dentists and doctors are now paid more to do less. Some years ago I had serious back pain, I could hardly move. I rang the surgery, it was a Good Friday, and a doctor came to see me. That service has gone, thanks to Brown, who, he says, knows best. • My son in law has his own business. He used to spend his time talking to potential customers. Now he spends it sorting out the vast, complex legislation that Brown has imposed. • Brown removed the remit from the Bank of England to audit banks and building societies. As a result, their profligate borrowing went undetected. Hence the present credit crunch. He, blindly, says he is the “world” saviour. How short sighted can you get. I have seen people on TV asking for help to identify the murderer of their loved one. They did it, but lie. Brown does the same. The real danger is – does he not recognise the truth? • Shortly after appointing himself as PM (he did a Col. Gaddafi) he went to Iraq during David Cameron’s address to the party and declared that he was bringing out 1,000 troops before Christmas. This turned out to be yet another lie. So much for his “moral compass”, “son of the Manse”. • He raided the pensions funds, and still does, leaving many worse off. Their pensions, as usual, were paid out of taxed income • He allowed nearly a million more civil servants to be hired and then said that unemployment was going down under his regime. Another con, another lie.Unemployment, particulary youth unemployment, is rising under Labour. • Brown has designed an economy that has fallen apart. The UK is suffering more than others. One commentator said that “Brown is about as prudent as Imelda Marcos in a shoe shop” The list is almost endless. You must attack these short comings before the Labour government is voted in yet again. UNQUOTE We should all write to our MP's along similar lines- although I suspect that in the case of Ann Keen, a close ally of the incompetent, and according to Tony Blair "fatally flawed", Gordon Brown, and who is closely identified with Gordon Brown's Major Disasters, I suspect the letter may be wasted. |
