Both Ant and Dec are well known enough in most Chiswick (and Kew) pubs for other locals to know who they are, and to leave them alone if they want to have a drink if they want to. Sounds like a chancer wanted to wind him up and get his 15 minutes of infamy. The times that I've met the pair in Chiswick pubs they have always been personable and happy to be part of the community.
