Interesting news item in the Sunday Times to the effect that men in their 50s are now the demographic most likely to die by suicide. There is a long-held theory that men are bad at talking about their problems, about appearing weak. It mentions this nationwide club which meets on Mondays from 7-9pm where men can talk over things that are bothering them. The nearest one I can find is in Hammersmith at 30 Blacks Road. It's free, even including coffee and biscuits, and you don't need to book. First names only. Join in or just listen. In case anybody thinks they might benefit from it. Any age welcome: you don't have to be in your 50s!
