| On Wednesday we went to the Chiswick Cricket Club (aka The Duck and Ball) for a light supper. We shared a burrata salad (the best and freshest I have had outside Italy) to start and a freshly made aubergine pizza. Thin crust freshly made and as someone who generally dislikes pizza, this was really good. The bill together with 2 glasses of red wine was £40. Plenty of parking if you drive otherwise the E3 getting off at Chiswick school Just before the A306. A short walk across the A306 at the lights then a few hundred yards down Riverside Drive towards the river, the entrance is on the right. Large room with comfortable seating, be aware there is a big TV showing sport. There is a covered veranda outside overlooking the cricket pitch. Fantastic in the summer but less so in cooler weather. Limited menu choice but all freshly prepared. You can arrange functions there too. They close at 9pm but you will need to contact them for other opening hours. This isn’t an advertising promotion just that we were so impressed with the friendliness and the quality of the food. Now that Tarantella on Elliot road has closed and disappointed with Cote we found this worth sharing. |
