| Does anyone else see the absolute insanity of self serve libraries in the front story. I don't want to go into a library when no one else is there just a security camera watching things. How the hell can the council justify this it's another round of cuts for no reason. Librarians are not unskilled workers they are fully aware of all their stock and can find what you need very fast. They are qualified educators who can help both students and young learners get everything they need. If "no staff" book shops made money they would be all over the place but they are not for a very good reason crime to the person and vandalism which would make their insurance sky high. What total numpty came up with this gobbledygook. |
