Everyone is 'disheartened with this lot' because of their failure to repair the damage to the economy caused by 24 years of austerity. This is a serious problem, which can't be addressed overnight, but sadly Starmer and Reeves haven't even made a start. And people like you are part of the problem. If the electorate rejects tax rises and the fiscal conservatives reject an increase in borrowing, how is the government to square the circle? Curbing growth in the National Debt by reducing public expenditure only reduces economic activity, and is what landed us in this mess in the first place. |
