| I haven't posted in many years. I lived in Chiswick between 2010 and 2013. As a dual national and a USAF veteran I am extremely ashamed of the US regime in charge along with those who empower Trump. Putin could never have achieved in his wildest dreams what Trump has done in one year. Britain often talks about the special relationship and not wanting to disturb it. There never was a special relationship, unless you consider a one way relationship special. I hope the EU, UK and Nato countries, sans US, can unite and push back against Trump. I would start by asking all US military personal to leave British and European bases. I hope the intelligence services are a lot more cautious about what they share with US counterparts. I am hopeful the 2026 elections, assuming Trump does not cancel them, will result in a Congress that will take back the power the current Congress has ceded to Trump. |
