| The program on EVRI this week showed how the drivers are allegedly exploited. They’re paid per package delivered and they’re paid different amounts per size of package so often they get way below minimum wage and then they still have to pay their petrol and vehicle expenses. They’re encouraged to never leave the premises without leaving the parcel there. It’s an extremely high pressured job for little money. After watching the program I’m surprised anyone would do it! I believe the Post Office drivers receive a salary so not sure why they are so tardy / slack and dump recorded parcels without signature or don’t leave parcels in designated safe spaces. There’s no excuse really. |
