| As for the Labour deputy leadership election, the Party made sure that no genuinely ‘challenging’ candidates got onto the ballot paper after the way Corbyn got elected leader back whenever. Thus we had a choice of two ‘safe’ candidates which generated little interest among members. It’s also unclear what Powell will do as Deputy leader of the Party without a cabinet post that usually goes with it, other than snipe from the sidelines pretending to represent ‘the membership’. Bring back Angela Rayner! |
