I notice that the large building next to the Tabard appears to be standing empty. Certainly the ground floor is unoccupied. For a long time it seemed to be home to a company dealing in spectacle frames. Long before that of course it was originally (as the name suggests) a general store for the residents of Bedford Park, and for a while home to H.J. Mulliner & Co coachbuilder for Rolls Royce. Does anyone know any more about its current fate? |
