| I was in the shop yesterday and learnt that it would be closing at the end of this month. This was indeed sad news as we have been regular customers for over 40 years. The reason given was the difficulty of finding staff who are skilled and reliable. Over the last year they have relied on opening Friday and Saturday and doing all the repairs etc. in their Richmond shop but this is not proving to be economically viable. If you have items to be collected you will have to do so in the next 2 weeks. The good news is that their services will continue to be available at their Richmond premises. That shop is called Richmond Leatherworks, 404 Richmond Road, TW1 2EB. There will be a note in the window with the details. All is not lost for the shop, there will be something special coming in September once the legal paperwork is done and licences, etc. have been granted. |
