Once the PO took on mail order deliveries I used to receive notification by email or text that there was a parcel to be delivered. This was followed up with a time slot or an option to divert, offer a safe place or delay. Following delivery there would be a note to say parcel delivery. Over the last few weeks this procedure is non existent. The consignor now seems to be undertaking that role. However 2 separate parcels have failed to arrive. The seeds I was sanguine about but the expensive trousers is not acceptable. Looking at the history on the tracking number shows that no delivery was possible on 8th April and I had been ‘carded’. I was home all day and there was no knock or card. It then goes on to show that delivery to my safe place had taken place on 14th April. I don’t have a safe place, everywhere is visible from the pavement. Now what do I do? The consignor says to take it up with the PO but I only have a tracking number and it doesn’t say which delivery company. There appear to have been several as the trousers came from the US. Anyone else had this experience? |
