| Sadly, Barney (a genius with wood and carving especially) has left the business and is now bursar of an exclusive school in Hertfordshire. Ian still works in his shop (mornings only) but his raft of health issues prevent him working on any large items. Such a shame as, totally selfishly, Ian was our 'go to' expert for any woodwork at our church and I know that any number of other local places of worship benefitted from his expertise. We now have to take any wooden items needing work to Ian's friend in West Wycombe but they are 'workshop only' whereas Ian and Barney were both happy to visit. I am just happy that we can see Ian and Barney's work every time that we enter the church. They are both masterful in working with quarter-cut oak. |
