Don’t worry. The countryside won’t be destroyed. The farmers worth £3 million in assets can well afford the measly 20% inheritance tax and they will pay it. It’s just ridiculous scare tactics they are  playing at the moment because they are motivated by greed. If one or two of them decide to sell their lucrative farms and move to cities to work in other vocations, so be it. It doesn’t matter. There are plenty of farmers across Europe who would be more than happy to supply us. Not least the lovely Rep of Ireland. I wonder how many of those smoke spewing tractors they drove to Westminster are actually ULEZ compliant. Hopefully Mayor Kahn made some money out of the greedy farmers.
