How is it that the trees from Dukes Avenue entrance to the house grounds have been allowed to be cut back so drastically? The government bangs on about preserving wildlife - well there will be no birds roosting in those fabulous listed trees for years. It looks terrible and is not good for the environment. I suspect whoever allowed this thought they were saving money cutting them back so much. Where does the money for the likes of ‘Pub in the Park’ go if not to the proper maintenance of this national treasure. Probably being spent on painting more rainbows on our roads…
